Welcome to the September edition of the Heatherwood Elementary PTO Newsletter! As we kick off the new school year, we want to thank each of you for taking the time to stay connected with our school community. Your involvement and support play a vital role in creating an enriching environment for our students. Heart of Heatherwood
Heart of Heatherwood
We are beyond ecstatic to announce that we’ve crushed our $70,000 goal in the Heart of Heatherwood campaign! This is such an incredible accomplishment, and it’s all because of YOU—our amazing Heatherwood community! Every single donation, big or small, made this dream come true, and we couldn’t be more grateful! To celebrate, our students enjoyed ice cream cake from Coldstone Creamery, a pizza party from Domino’s, donuts from VooDoo Doughnuts, a Sparky parade through the halls, complete with a live jam session from the Denver/Boulder band "Funk in the Name," and the absolute showstopper— an amazing school assembly with costumed staff, pie the paras and slime our specials teachers! But wait—there’s more! Our students have earned TWO more exciting rewards: an out-of-this-world visit from Fiske Planetarium with their inflatable mini-dome AND a delicious school-wide treat from the Snowy Churros food truck! Get ready for even more fun and celebration, all thanks to your incredible support! We couldn’t be more grateful!

Husky Harvest Fest!
Our Husky Harvest Fest was an absolute blast! With beautiful weather and the perfect fall vibes, our Heatherwood community came together for an unforgettable day of fun and celebration. The festival was packed with exciting games, delicious food from Lenin’s Pizza, Temaki Tornado, and the always-amazing Sweet Cow. It was so much fun to see families laughing, playing, and enjoying time together as we celebrated all the incredible accomplishments we've achieved so far this year. There's nothing better than coming together as a community to make memories and have a great time, and Husky Harvest Fest was the perfect way to do just that! Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and made it such a success!

Get ready for an action-packed October, Heatherwood families! We’ve got some super fun events on the horizon that you won’t want to miss. Our Storybook Pumpkins event is right around the corner—start planning those creative pumpkin designs inspired by your favorite books! Plus, mark your calendars for the 2nd annual Husky Howl-O-Ween Glow Party on Friday October 25th from 5 - 8 pm, where we’ll light up the night with music, crafts, and glow-in-the-dark fun. And of course, we’ll top it all off with our school-wide costumed Halloween parade—an exciting tradition where the whole school gets to show off their spooky, fun, and creative costumes. Stay tuned for more details, and get ready for a festive, fun-filled month ahead!
